

Karri Le Pogorelec, age 46 of Castle Rock, passed away on April 4, 2024. She was born on May 20, 1977 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Kent McAlister and Carol Grieves. Karri married Matthew Pogorelec and they celebrated 8 years of marriage together.
Karri graduated from Rangeview High School where she was active in many sports, including volleyball and soccer. She continued her love for sports and coached volleyball and other team sports after graduating. Karri’s presence lit up every room she entered. Karri was a beacon of warmth and generosity, spreading contagious energy and joy with her infectious giggles. Karri found fulfillment in nurturing others, making every birthday and holiday a celebration to remember. Her love knew no bounds, and her kindness touched the lives of many.
In her youth, Karri found joy in simple pleasures, from square dancing to watching, and flying in hot air balloons alongside her beloved father. Travel was a passion that brought her boundless joy. Whether cruising the seas or soaring through the clouds with her cherished mother, Karri embraced the adventure of exploration with open arms, creating cherished memories along the way. She loved meeting new people, she worked hard, loved her work, and always made people feel welcome. She was an avid dog lover, Broncos fan, and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Karri is survived by her husband, Matt; his children Brooke, Jacob, and Charlotte; her father Kent McAlister and his wife Sandy, and her mother Carol Grieves and her husband Bob; and her parent-in-laws Jeff Pogorelec and wife Dee, along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of Karri’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel 407 Jerry St. Castle Rock, Colorado 80104.
