I only knew Matt professionally but he was such a kind and loving soul.  We first met at Littleton Adventist where he was a lab tech and his positive attitude and smile were the highlight of my day.  We would talk about life and work and just made the day go by faster.  

As he transitioned to a new role with Abbott, our paths crossed at University hospital again and the conversations picked up right where they left off. 

I’m sorry to hear of his passing, he was a good man. My condolences to his family.

My sincerest condolences to the Harbey family. Matt was the most incredible supportive dance dad and the love between Crystal and Matt was undeniable. I will continue to pray for the family. Love you all, God be with you ♥️

Though I didn't know him long or well, I enjoyed Matt from the moment I met him. He was always smiling and friendly, and his love for his family was easy for us all to see. The way Matt showed up and supported the kids at dance — with enthusiasm and joy — was truly something special. 

I hope to honor his kindness and light by stopping to smile and say hello more often and focusing more on joy in the moments, big and small. 🤍

It was a huge shock to learn of Matt’s passing. Our lab team have come to know him as our go-to field service representative. He was always positive, addressed our questions, fixed our instruments, and gave honest feedback. We will miss him greatly for the kind person he was. To his family and friends, our deepest sympathy for your loss.

While we only met Matt a couple of times we were touched with his kindness and welcoming nature. We could tell he was a great dad and husband. We are so sad for Crystal and the children, Matt and Linda, and family. May the Great Spirit watch over Matt and all he loved.

I knew Matt as our service representative.  He was always upbeat and happy to see anyone. When I changed jobs I was hoping to run into him at other sites. The world is a little less bright without him in it.  My sincerest condolences.

We are going to miss Matt’s smiling face and words of encouragement to all the dancers at Studio 9. His killer dance moves were always a highlight at the spring showcase! My favorite part was the high-fives he handed out as he came off stage! The Harbey family is such a treasured addition to our dance family and we love you all 🧡 We are lucky and honored to have had Matt’s bright light in our lives for the past several years! Love you all and God Bless you as you carry on his wonderful legacy!

Matthew was a wonderful, dedicated family man. Our hearts go out to his amazing wife, Crystal, and their exceptional children, Jaxson and Skye. We are proud to be a part of this fun, adventurous, awesome family. We will miss you, Mattie, forever. I hope peace will come soon for all of us.

We have been blessed to spend 4th of July for the last 7 years with Matt, Crystal and the kids. Matt was always SO incredibly kind and welcoming to everyone he came into contact with. We mourn the loss of his beautiful soul.

I had the honor of working with Matt.  Matt was a dedicated colleague  who had the unique ability to brighten everyone’s day with his sense of humor and fun approach to life. Matt was a beautiful, caring man and will be greatly missed.
