

Dale Haas, 84, of Kiowa, CO passed away on October 26, 2017. He was born in Elizabeth, CO to Fred and Ethel Haas on July 28, 1933. He graduated from Elizabeth High School in 1952 and in 1953 married DeLores Kay McGregor. They had 3 children, Jane, Dave, and Robert.
Dale joined the Air Force in 1953 and served for 4 years, including a stint in Alaska about which he fondly reminisced. While in the service he learned his lifelong trade of operating heavy equipment. Upon his honorable discharge he continued his trade, working for various construction companies until 1971 when he started his own excavation business, successfully running the company for 16 years. He then began working for Elbert County Road and Bridge, retiring in 2009. Dale dedicated the rest of his life to his large garden and caring for the Haas family Ranch in Kiowa.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; siblings, Vera June Haas and Gene Albert Haas; great granddaughter, Hannah Grace Farmer.
He is survived by his wife, DeLores, and their 3 children: Their daughter, Jane (Haas) Farmer, her husband Dave, and their children: Tammy (Farmer) Mixter, her husband Danny, and their children: Adonai, Ameera, and Josiah; Jasson Farmer, his wife Kim, and their children: Kaleb, Noah, Micah and Katie; Jessica Farmer; Justin Farmer and his wife Heather. Their son Dave Haas, his wife Patty, and their children: Tex Haas, his wife Jean, and their children: Grace and Sydney; Allison (Haas) Rosales, her husband Maurice, and their children: Dalton, Lukas, Hayden, and Kyla; Jake Haas, his wife Ryan, and their son Gunner; Bubba Haas. Their son Robert Haas, his wife Hope, and their children: Levi and Ronnie.
The funeral services will be held on November 2, 2017 at 11 AM at Majestic view church in Kiowa, Colorado.
