With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pasquale Anthony Iannino Sr., who left this world on May 3, 2025, at the age of 71, after bravely battling ALS. A native son of Chicago, born on May 23, 1953, Pat lived a life full of warmth, generosity, and deep-rooted pride in his Italian heritage.
For 43 years, he shared an enduring and loving marriage with his wife, Linda, building a beautiful life and family together. He was the proud father of four sons—Pasquale Jr., Dominic, Julian, and Joey—and a devoted grandfather to Ruby and Gio, who brought a special light to his later years.
A passionate cook and proud Italian-American, Pat found joy in sharing his culture through food. He was an accomplished entrepreneur who owned and operated two beloved Italian restaurants in Chicago, where he welcomed guests like family and made everyone feel at home. Whether stirring sauce in the kitchen or sharing stories at the table, Pat’s love for Italian culture and tradition was unmistakable.
Above all, Pat loved his family deeply. His kindness, loyalty, and open-hearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His legacy lives on not only in his family, but in the countless lives he touched through a smile, a meal, or a simple act of generosity.
He was truly loved by many, and he will be missed more than words can express.
A funeral mass for Pat will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 10:00 am at The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, 1224 W. Lexington Street, Chicago, IL 60607. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Pat by giving to your local parish or Casa Italia in hopes that Italian culture and arts will stay vibrant and alive.
