He was born on March 30, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois, where he grew up and lived until 1979 when he moved with his family to McHenry, Illinois. Several years after retirement he moved to Castle Rock, CO.
He served in the U.S. Army for 2 years and was known as "Ski" by his fellow soldiers and special friend during that time and to this day, Mike Webb. He was a respected Police Officer in Fox Lake, Illinois for 30 years. After retirement he worked part time as Court Security at the McHenry County Courthouse.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Hog chapter in Illinois, and most recently out of Mile High Harley in Parker, CO. He enjoyed fishing and valued the annual trip to the Wolf River in Freemont, WI for the White Bass run. It seemed to always be the week before or after. Far more beer was caught than fish. He also enjoyed golfing, affectionately known as “Oh Sh..” which was coined by his father in law. He loved his family and was a good friend to many. His sense of humor and smile will be missed by everyone who knew him .
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Erwin and Lucy Bartoszewski; his sister, Ann Krueger and his precious grandson, Devin Ray Wildey.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Susan T. Kremsreiter Bartoszewski; His children, Cheryl Ann Atkins and husband John Atkins, David Allen Bartoszewski and wife Ana O’Connell Bartoszewski, and Lisa Marie Wildey and husband Andy Wildey. His grandchildren Jack Atkins, Lyla and Mason Bartoszewski. Also many brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews.
