peacefully at her Castle Rock, Colorado home.
She was the oldest daughter born on 5/16/1967 to Ronnie Lee Hartson (deceased) and Beverly
Diane Jantz Hartson (deceased). Kevin Frederick Bitterman joined Rhonda in marriage and a
new family began its journey with Tyler Steele on 11/18/1995 Together Kevin and Rhonda had
a son Kody 6/3/1996, Bitterman.
Rhonda’s passion was her family and she would stop at nothing to protect and care for them.
They were her heart, her whole heart and she was theirs.
She will be remembered for living life so much larger than her 5’1” frame. She inherited an
ornery streak, a wicked sense of humor, and a love of music and dance from her dad who
lovingly referred to her as “Rhoda Lee” and unstoppable stubbornness, strength, and courage
from her mom. She was a force to be reckoned with, dressed to the nines from her high heels
to her perfectly appointed sparkles. She was beautiful…inside and out! God truly blessed her
with a special light all her own that brightened every room she entered.
She is survived by Kevin and their sons Kody, Tyler, and Stephanie Steele, and her first
grandchild Stassi, her sister Lisa Medina and her husband Rico Medina and their children
Devon and Mikayla and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws too numerous to list, loved by
all and will be truly missed.
On behalf of Kevin, Kody and Tyler thank you for the kindness and love you have shown during
this time…We honor Rhonda as she entered and ended her life’s journey with Love, Laughter,
Dignity, Class, and Grace, and she did it all on her OWN terms.
