A great lady has left us. Ruth Masters, 89, passed away March 19, 2012 in Castle Rock, CO. She was born in Oklahoma in May of 1922 to Jesse and Callie Barnett. She graduated from Draugh Business School and worked at Tinker Field, where she met and married a California boy, R. Robert Masters. They raised a family and lived for many years in Southern California, North Ogden and Willard, Utah. She loved people, sports, playing golf and bridge and working at Penney's. Together she and Bob ran a machine shop, Tube Manufacturing, in Utah. She was the best friend, mother and grandmother ever and was loved by all who knew her. After retirement, Bob and Ruth moved to Colorado, where Robert died in 1997 She is survived by sons Michael (Faith), Colorado, and Fred (Shanna), New York; grandchildren, Chad (Chrystal) Masters, Brett Masters, Lynette (Andrew) Sanchez, and James (Kimbra) Masters, and eight great-grandchildren: Michael, Cory, Travis, Nate, Kaitlin, Duncan, Christian, and Robin. A grandson, Todd, preceded her in death. A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home in Castle Rock, CO.
