

Silvia was born in Southern Illinois in 1939. Her parents were Harold and Avis Stoner. After finishing her training in Chicago, she went on to work in the Radiology Department at Presbyterian Saint Luke’s Hospital for over 35 years. Most of her life was spent in Douglas County, Colorado. Her hobbies included: spending time with her grandkids who she loved dearly, bowling, bridge, visiting on the front porch, spending time with friends, watching the Denver Broncos, and playing a variety of games.
Silvia was married to Kenneth Somerhalter for more than 32 years. Her children were Jane Somerhalter, Carol (Somerhalter) Zahner husband Matthew Zahner. Grandchildren include: Kurt Hall spouse Shayla Lampton, Chereen Zahner, Julie Zahner, and Bryan Kissinger. Other family members include Donna Sprague, Betty Swingle, Paul Kissinger, and Tom Hall.
Silvia had many close life-long friendships. These were with friends from Illinois, neighbors, and newly formed friendships that were very near and dear to her heart. She also developed many close personal relationships with many people she worked with at the hospital. She loved them ALL!
Silvia was loved by so many people throughout her life. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Loving Wife, and a dear friend. Her caring, kind, gentle and loving nature had a tremendous impact for so many lives including her family, friends, and those she helped through her work. May she forever live in our hearts. We ALL love you so much, you will be missed!
