Glen Steven "Steve" Ramsour was born in Castle Rock, Colorado in 1951 to Glen and Ollie (née Pinkston) Ramsour. Steve lived in Castle Rock his entire life, except for First Grade, when the family lived in Platteville for work.
Steve met his wife, Gay in 1978 at the Old Stone Church restaurant and bar in downtown Castle Rock. They were married in 1980 and had one daughter, who they named Steven after her father.
He worked for the family construction business, Ramsour Brothers, until going into business for himself. He established his sign company, SignDesign in 1983. He started by painting signs, but he was also an early adopter of computer technology, purchasing his first Macintosh computer in 1988. For 35 years, Steve enjoyed making and installing signs, mostly in Douglas County.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Glen and Ollie Ramsour, and his brothers, Bruce Blakeslee, Bill Blakeslee and Bob Ramsour. Steve is survived by his wife, Gay Ramsour, their daughter, Stevie Ramsour Nelson and her husband, Damien Nelson.
Steve enjoyed his life and had few regrets, and although he loved Castle Rock, he always expressed that he “should have moved to California.”
