Vernon Finkbeiner was born on Feburary 24, 1938 to Opal and Ernest Finkbeiner in Lewistown, Montana. He attended school in Grass Range and in 1955 he joined the Navy. He was 17 years old and just a kid. He served 4 years and being on a ship he saw some of the world.
When Vern was discharged he worked at jobs around Grass Range and then started working in road construction. On a visit to his sister in Elizabeth, Colorado he was introduced to Shirley Middlebrook and they were married on Nov. 20, 1976. Vern worked for TriCon Kent and Tarco Construction companies.
Vern was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents, Ernest and Opal Finkbeiner, his brother, Norman Finkbeiner, and sister, Norma Cline. He is survived by his sister, June Jurczewsky of Elizabeth, Co., sisters, Joy Beauchan and Doris Martin of Missoula, Montana , sister-in-law, Patsy North, brother-in-law Danny Middlebrook (Marilyn) and many neices and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services are Thursday, December 13, 2018, 1:30 p.m., at the American Legion Hall on Banner St. in Elizabeth.
