Well, Dave...it's been a year.  A long year for your family and friends who miss you every day.  Our boys in purple did it, Dave!  The 49ers tried to take it away from us.  Scott said to me, "I can't believe this is happening."  I responded, "Don't worry...Dave's got this one."  Our celebration today is so bitter sweet.  It's not nearly as joyful as the last one we celebrated together.  Miss you big guy....

Happy Birthday, Dave.  Not a day goes by that we don't think about you.  Scott and I miss you terribly. We love you.

As to the fact that I was unable to attend the service for Dave due to being back in the hospital,I would like to take this time to leave a few words.

 We can never know we are gonna be called home.And..looking back,I remeber something a very wise man once told me.You see,100 years down the road,when someone is walking past our final resting place...there are only 4 important things that will be scribed on our headstone...our name..the day we came in this world..the day we left..and a dash.That dash...as small as it seems..means everything.That little mark..so small...represents our life.It stands for out 1st breath..our 1st steps...that 1st time we fall in love...and...that dash...in Dave's life...shows how may lives he brought so much joy to.How many people he touched with his laughter..his kindness..and his friendship.While his may have ended much,much to soon..I know we are all better people for knowing him..and now that god has called him home...He will always be with me...as with the rest of his frinds and family...in my heart forever.I will miss you forever my brother....thanks for all the years of caring...i will always be a better man for having known you in my life

David and I went to St. Agnes together.  So many fun memories of our childhood growing up in Edmonson Heights.  I have a clear memory of a great birthday party in David's basement when we were in either 5th or 6th grade. When this news first broke it was nice to see the kids from the class of '81 come together.  We are all always there for each other.

Paul and family- We can't believe that we have lost Dave. He was one of a kind. Dave was a photographer, and a wonderful chef. More importantly, he was generous, funny, and very caring. He made us feel so special and loved. Most of all, he was one of our best friends. We are all better for having the privelege of knowing him. Miss you , my Buddy.

I can't believe that Dave is gone. We had alot of good times together. Boat outtings to Hart-Miller Island, trips to Ocean City, NASCAR races, Caribbean cruises (he was my cabin buddy), Fells Point Festival, lots of stuff. He was at my wedding over 5 years ago. I regret not keeping in better contact with him over the past several years. I am going to deeply miss him.

I wanted to share my condolences on your loss. I worked with Dave at Adams Auto, he would often stop by the accounting office to say Hi and share a funny story about Joey.

Pop, Fran, Kathy & Greg...we are still in shock and saddened over Dave's passing.  We will keep you and your families in our thoughts and prayers.  It still doesn't seem real that our dear friend has left us.  What an awesome spirit and smile! We will forever remember the great times shared watching Raven's games, bowling, just hanging out or the cruises we all took together.  They will never be the same without him. So very sorry to hear about David.  When I lived on Coleridge Road and he would come to my home with the other guys he'd always make me laugh, especially  when I was feeling sad.  He will be mised.
