I will miss hearing his pleasant voice back in the 70s, "This is, WLIF, FM 102, All music, all the time".

I listened to Mr Ireland on WLIF Lite 102 for years even in the easy listening era. I later listened to him on WRBS. It was always good listening to him before school, and later work. He had such a great personality. I actually thought about going into radio because of Mr. Ireland. I had the pleasure of meeting him once at a local grocery store one Saturday in 1992 when he appeared in a WLIF promotion. His wife worked at my high school some years back. She was a nice lady. Prayers to the Ireland family. Baltimore lost a legend in 2021.

I loved listening to Dick on WRBS - he was a breath of fresh air.  He will surely be missed.

Remembering my friend Dick today who passed away on the same day as my dad two years earlier.  Prayers for Jeannette and the family. 

Dear Jeannette & Family, remembering Dick as a fun, warm, and caring person who always was genuinely concerned for how  everyone was doing. I enjoyed listening to him on WRBS even before I knew Jeannette. I will always remember him and was so glad for the time he spent with my dad ♥️  I can’t believe it’s been a year and look forward to seeing Dick in our heavenly home. I will always remember Dick from the times I had Bible study at his house. And also the opportunity to talk with him at Young Life meetings at Chapel Hill United Presbyterian Church around 1970. He was quite an inspiration to me as I was a new Christian. He was an example for all of us to follow. Jay Allen

I remember your work with Buddy Deane and his radio and tv shows. When the old WFBR radio station moved their studios next to WLIF, we were just across the hall from you and your outstanding morning show. We both were so busy doing our morning shows, a quick hi was all the time we could share.

Steve and I attended the beautiful Celebration of Life yesterday. It was such a beautiful service to honor Dick and it brought much glory to God. 
Steve has fond memories of knowing Dick through WRBS years ago.

I will always remember Dick and his wonderful sense of humor, but most of all his empathy and genuine love of people. He reached out to everyone, but I’ll never forget his concern for my husband, Mac. The last time we spoke he asked how my husband was doing and we talked about getting together to talk. This never happened since God took him home. Dick’s care and concern for my husband was an intervention from God and even though it didn’t happen God used it in Mac’s life. Dick you truly lived your life as Christ’s disciple. God be with Jeannette and all the family surround them with your love and comfort.  Mac & Cindy McIntyre

Dick was always such a bright spot in our lives.  He joyfully demonstrated God's heart for people and was so faithful in reaching out to stay in touch with Paul and I.  We are truly blessed to have known Dick as a friend and brother in Christ.

Dear Family, your dear father/ brother had quite a wonderful voice over the years. The music he was a part of was great Christian tunes and previously relaxing music, never anything offensive. 
I’ve missed hearing his voice these past few years as I’m sure you are feeling especially now. Hopefully you can take comfort in remembering his gentle personality which came through the airwaves and surely with you as well. 


Dear Brother Dick…your life definitely has left a beautiful legacy…no doubt you are in glory with a new body free of all pain and disease! Your legacy lives on in the many many lives you touched through the radio, in person as well as in your beautiful family and extended family. My in-laws John and Janet O’Connor no doubt are enjoying your company in glory as they enjoyed you @ Chapelgate. I remember meeting Dick at Young Life and CHUP meetings at Chapel Hill United Presbyterian church in 1970. He was such an inspiration to me, a new convert, and I started attending Bible study at his home. He truly was an amazing person to be around and blessing to be involved with him. He will be missed but not forgotten. Looking forward to seeing him in glory land.🙏

I really can’t reflect on and remember those precious years in MD without hearing Dick’s voice.

His comforting and welcoming voice was matched by his gracious and humble reflection of his Saviour. It was an honor to know him and I look forward to seeing him again and celebrating Jesus together!

I never heard Dick on the radio. I was just one of the young neighborhood kids who he always greeted with a big smile and a joyful hello. The Ireland-Beans family members were wonderful friends and positive role models for our happy neighborhood!

I remember listening to Dick Ireland on WLIF and then following him to WRBS. I had the pleasure of meeting him several times. First time was when he delivered a “Lite Lunch” to my place of business as a promo/contest from WLIF. Then I went to a Bible Study, along with a friend and he was there. We watched one of the 1983 World Series games when the Baltimore Orioles won the series. He was a truly nice guy and a committed Christian! He will be missed, but I will see him again in glory because he put his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior!

I remember Mr Ireland from WRBS. He was my companion in the car during my commute. Such a blessing to hear his laugh and know his heart through the radio show. Not only did he accompany me on my travels but he brought Jesus with him wherever we went. Heaven is a little happier now that he has arrived. 

I worked with Dick as part of the morning program on RBS back in 2000...he was a faithful man of God and a truly great broadcaster...thank you

Dick worked at WRBS-FM for many years.  I was a co.-worker working in the Peter & John Ministries main office and saw him often.  A true man of God - always with a positive word & a smile - that is what I will remember most about him.  A true hero of the faith to me.

Dick led a Bible Study in the early 1970's, that I attended. Our Bible Study group went to Washington D.C. to witness for Christ that Dick coordinated, and souls were won to Christ as a result of his efforts. This is a memory that I will always treasure. Dick, enjoy your reward in heaven.

Please accept my deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dick.  We first became acquainted with Dick Ireland from hearing him on the morning show at WRBS.  Then when we began attending Chapelgate we were so happy to actually meet him there.  What a pleasure and honor to have known Dick.  Dick was truly a Christian who exuded all the qualities of his Lord Jesus.   He will be surely missed by so many people.
