Dorothy Marc Buckley, age 79, beloved wife of Barry Buckley for 54 years and loving mother of Matthew (Christine) Buckley and Erin (Brij) Lal died on May 26, 2024 from Alzheimer’s disease. She is survived by her grandchildren Nathan, Anna, and Lila Buckley and Zoe and Isaac Lal, as well as beloved younger sisters, Christine Weal and Denise Albright, two nephews, Vincent and Marc Glorioso, and a niece, Allison Walls, along with numerous cousins and other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Rose Marc, another sister, Carole Glorioso, a niece Amy Albright, and nephew Jesse Albright.
For about thirty years, Dorothy was an elementary school teacher in Baltimore City and later in Baltimore County. She retired in 2007 due to her disease. Her favorite hobbies were playing the piano, reading, traveling, and spoiling her grandchildren.
For the last two years, she resided at a Brightview memory care unit.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dorothy’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Maryland.
Services will be held at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville. Visitations are June 2nd at 2-4 and 6-8. Funeral is June 3rd at 10:30.
