

Eva (Amy, Meme) A. Granger, 93, passed away on January 12, 2017. Eva was born on March 22, 1923 to John and Eva Frazer (Allen) in the Bronx, NY. She attended Hunter High School, Hunter College and Columbia University Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing ( Class of 1948 - the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps) where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree.
Eva married R. Carroll Granger in August 1950 in Baltimore, Maryland, a marriage of 42 years. Their 4 children and their spouses are: Ann and Michael Sail of Schenectady, NY, Susan and Charlie Mitsis of Hudson, MA, Bob and Kathie Granger of Davenport, FL, and Joan and Michael Ring of Largo, FL.
Eva was employed as a registered nurse at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD and in Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA. She was also a nursing instructor for student nurses at Emerson Hospital. When living in Albany, NY, she was a member of Lynwood Reformed Church.
Eva was pre deceased by her husband, R. Carroll Granger. She leaves 6 grandchildren: Leah Pope (Sail) and spouse, Thomas Pope, Adam Sail and spouse,
Siobhan Sail (O'Hara), Tom Kingsley, Sara Kingsley, Patty Staricha ( Granger) and spouse, Chris Staricha, and Jami Ring.
She also leaves 4 great grandchildren, Olivia and Vivian Pope, and Zachary and Kayla Sail.
Eva was a Girl Scout Leader and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed math, computers, growing tomatoes, and doing puzzles. Eva loved dogs and gave many a wonderful home. She loved to sew and made many clothes, dolls, stuffed animals and activity books for her children and grandchildren.
Eva will be fondly remembered for her sense of humor, her steadfast belief in God, and her dedication to family and friends. Her High School Yearbook poem describes her:

Eva A. Granger's funeral will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment will follow at Lorraine Park Cemetery, Woodlawn, MD.
