Gary was a hilarious storyteller who loved to entertain his family and friends by making them laugh until they cried. His love of music led him to be the rhythm guitar player with the top 40 band "Wind," which he helped form in 1974. He transitioned into playing the drums and became the lead male vocalist that lasted for 30 years. He was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan, and his favorite beverage while watching these games was an orange crush! Every year at Christmas time, Gary took pride in working on his train garden- laying down the track, putting up the houses, landscaping, and of course, running the trains. He even added the "Polar Express" to the delight of his grandchildren.
Gary is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie, his son Jeremy and wife, Sarah, his daughter Kelly and wife, Jessica, grandsons, Julian and Dylan, and granddaughter, Deliah. He is also survived by his sister Kathy and brother-in- law, Wilson, his sister Wendy and brother-in-law, Mike, cousins, Judi, Kathy and Mike, and several nieces and nephews.
The family has decided to host a "Celebration of Life" to remember Gary, to be held at a later time.
For those desiring, donations may be made in his name to Colorectal Cancer Alliance, 1025 Vermont Ave, NW Suite 1066, Washington, DC 20005.
