I was so sad to hear that Harry died. My mother, Louise Linthicum, thought the world of him. When my children were little, he gave us a tour at the B&O Museum, which was wonderful.Charlotte, my thoughts are with you and your family.

We were blessed with Harry at the B & O Railroad Museum.  When we had quesations about steam he would carefully explain the answers several times for us to understand.  He will be sorely missed.  God Bless you Harry and thanks to your family bfor sharing.

Mr. Eck was a true gentleman and a kind, dear man.  We all learned from him as his knowledge of railroading and the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company greatly exceeded ours.  He will be missed.  My condolences to Mrs. Eck, his daughter, sons and grandchildren.

While slight in stature, Harry was a giant in his field. Inever had his equal as a mentor. I will greatly miss him.

Harry was a kind, honest and true gentleman.  We all have such wonderful memories of the past Christmas "get togethers", Fourth of July picnics and several anniversary parties.  We will never forget when Harry would call Buck and let him know how many inches of rain he had in the rain gauge.  What great memories of a great neighbor.  He will truly be missed.  Gertie and family.

Harry was one of my favorite B&O volunteers.  He was a gentleman and a professional.  Good bye, old friend.

I had the privilege to meet Mr. Eck as archivist for the B&O Railroad Historical Society.  I even got a chance to chauffeur him to our Brunswick Mini-Con.  He was always helpful to those of us who study the history of the B&O and was available to talk about his time on the railroad.  His generosity of his time and his experience to those of us who never had a chance to see what he saw will be greatly missed.  He was a great guy and a true gentleman.  We will miss him.

It was such an honor to know you Harry Eck, to work with you at the B&O, and to call you my friend.  You were such a great and humble teacher to so many of us and you will surely be missed. My prayers and sympathy go out to the entire Eck family.

Eck family,
I had the opportunity to meet Mr. Eck at a spring meeting in Charleston, SC several years ago. Having worked on the railroad for over thirty years, I would often hear people refer to Mr. Eck when discussing policies or practices. It was a privilege to share dinner that one evening with Mr. and Mrs. Eck. He was every bit as interesting as I envisioned him to be. May you find comfort knowing that Mr
 Eck's contributions positively influenced many people.

I have such fond childhood memories of Harry Eck!  So sorry for your loss!

Harry will be greatly missed. He was a great man and lover of the B&O.

I am sure you know what a great man Harry was at home. But I can tell you he was a great friend, mentor and historian to me for over 3 decades. He was like my railroad father and I would never have been able to thank him enough for all he has done for me. I will surely miss him. Please know that you my sincere condolences on his passing.
