Heaven is lucky to have an angel like you, but we sure could use you down here. Not one day will go by that I won't think about you, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Everything reminds me of you & I am constantly saying to myself, "Oh Kellie would love that." It gets really tough sometimes when I realize that I can't share those things with you. As I was packing up to move out of my apartment today, I came across various gifts, cards, souvenirs, etc. from you. I will cherish these things for the memories that stand behind them. I re-read the card you gave me for my birthday this year...it was incredibly touching & brought me to tears. I think I found a post the other day that you wrote on a website several months ago. Weird that I just happened to come across that, huh? I truly believe that was you, and you were very positive...I smiled knowing you were able to find comfort in some things. Although I wish the optimism could have endured, I am hopeful that you've finally found true peace & happiness. A few days after your service, a stranger at the mall asked me if I had a sister...I froze. I was so shocked & I had absolutely no idea what to say. I wish so badly we still had you here. Man, the things I would have done differently. Nothing in the world can compare to losing an actual person. You can't take it back & you could never be replaced. It isn't natural for lives to end at 26 years young, and that makes this all so much harder. It really has been rough. But I'm constantly picturing your unforgettable smile in my head. I swear it seems like every time I smile or am happy, I think of you. Jen shared with me a lot of of her memories of/with you. I loved hearing about these adventures, fiascos, ups, and downs. My favorite story was the one about the vinegar shots. Oh, and we went to your secret wishing spot. I'm sure I will be visiting often. But this is all just so surreal. I literally cannot comprehend this; it's far too overwhelming for me to handle. This isn't the way things were supposed to happen, you know? I force myself not to think about it too hard...every time that I do it's, "Oh my God, did this really happen?" all over again. The past two weeks have felt like two years. I waited for you to wake up at your service. I waited for you to post a message on facebook or send me a bunch of requests. I waited to find out this was all some messed up dream. And I'll just have to continue to wait until I can finally understand. Something tells me it's going to take a really, really long time. Oh yeh, and I'm getting something for you, hopefully on Thursday, that you would really be able to appreciate. I'm really excited about it. And your birthday this year is going to be really special. Well, this entry turned out to be a novel, so I'll go ahead and close it off here...

Kellie, I deeply miss you. Wherever I go & whatever I do, I'll always take you with me. I wish you were still here but I know the pain is gone now & I have to remember that that is the most important thing here. Rest in peace, Kel, I'll be waiting for the day that I get to see you again. I love you forever. Thank you for inspiring & impacting my life the way that you have. I couldn't ask for a better gift than that.

Kellie was one of the sweetest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I went to high school with Kellie and got to know her through our classes together, especially in our vocals class and chorus. She had a really pretty singing voice and helped me get over stage freight when we performed an opera at school. Kellie always greeted me with a bubbly “What’s up, Picco!!” She was thoughtful, encouraging, kind and was beautiful inside and out. She knew that the smallest kindnesses were some of the biggest and I'm sure she has touched the lives of more people than I could ever count. She will truly be missed and I will never forget her. Her family and friends are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Eternal rest grant onto them O'Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them, and let their souls and the souls of all the faithfully departed rest in peace.
