Marguerite Meyer of Catonsville, MD passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 88. Marguerite was predeceased in death by her loving husband, Jerry Meyer, of 31 years and her two beloved dogs, Rocky and Duke as well as her grand dog, Gus.
She is survived by two daughters Lisa Meyer, of Catonsville and Suzanne Powell (Jeff) of The Plains, OH; sister Helen Thomas and nephew Joshua Thomas of Wesley Chapel, FL; sister-in-law Margaret Meyer of Ellicott City, MD and aunt to Ken and Mike Meyer (Jennifer). Marguerite was born to Doc and Edith Gist of Upperco, MD on the Armacost Family Farm.
Marguerite was a sports enthusiast, passionate about her Orioles, Terps, Ravens, Ohio University Athletics and JMU Volleyball. She was a voracious reader and loved her times in Ocean City and enjoying her garden and time relaxing watching nature on her patio.
A visitation will be held at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, located at 1630 Edmondson Ave, Catonsville, MD, 21228, on January 14, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A Celebration of Life will follow on the same day, starting at 11:00 am.
A graveside service will take place at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, MD, at 12:30 pm on January 14, 2026.
