Margaret Cureton Smith

On April 19, 2026; Margaret Cureton Smith passed away. She is the beloved wife of the late Jerry Donald Smith; loving mother of Katherine Kobza and her husband John, and Allison Dennis and her husband Steve; devoted grandmother of Kate Kobza, Christine Woody and her husband Robert, Elizabeth Tanaka and her husband Shugo, and Anna Dennis; cherished great grandmother of Sophia Tanaka; dear sister of the late John Cureton, Jr.

Family will receive friends from 11:30AM to 12PM, Friday, April 24 at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community, followed by a funeral service at 12PM. Interment in Crownsville Veteran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Gilchrist Hospice or to Holly Hill United Methodist Church, 1048 Peake Street, Holly Hill, SC 29059.
