Michael was born in New Jersey, a place that remained part of who he was throughout his life. At a young age, his family moved to Baltimore, where he laid the foundation for his education and career. He took great pride in his work serving the healthcare community, most notably with the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty of the State of Maryland and later with the American Medical Association. His time in Chicago left a lasting impression on him, but it was Maryland where his heart ultimately belonged.
In his later years, Michael found his greatest joy in being “Da” to his grandsons. He treasured every moment spent with them, and nothing meant more to him than family.
Michael shared a life of love and commitment with his wife, Mary Clare Murray. He was a proud and devoted father to his son, Nathan M. Murray, and a loving father-in-law to Brenda. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Jean Parrott and her husband, George, and by his beloved grandchildren, Greyson M. Murray and Ashton W. Murray, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Gertrude Murray, and his siblings, Nancy Lepson and Thomas M. Murray, Jr.
Michael will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
