Sean Ewing Riley

Sean was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 26, 1947 and was the son of Julia Dorsey Riley and Arthur Ewing Riley. Sean completed his master’s degree in Accounting at University of Maryland University College. He worked as an accountant for NASA in Greenbelt, MD for many years, and after retirement, he taught accounting at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College in Moorefield, VA.

Sean was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching baseball and working on his computer. He also enjoyed dancing with his wife and working in the yard. He will be remembered for his generosity and great love for his wife and family.

He is survived by his spouse, Suzanne Marie Riley, and his children Michael Riley, Carolyn Forde Buresh, Julie Forde, Richard Benjamin Forde as well as their respective spouses and children. He is also survived by his siblings Mark Riley, Christopher Riley, Mary Rafferty, and their respective spouses and children. Sean was predeceased by his siblings Liam Riley and Arthur “Chip” Riley.

The memorial service will be held on December 10, 2021 at Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community located at 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228. Doors to the chapel open at 10:30 a.m. and the service will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Facemasks are required.
