On December 31, VIRGINIA M. HARTLEY (nee Feild), beloved wife for 46 years of Brent A. Hartley and previously to the late Albert G. Fitzgerald. Devoted mother of Thomas, John, Michael and Daniel Fitzgerald; Kathleen Schleicher; Christine Fitzgerald and Brent F. Hartley. Sister of Frank Feild, Teresa Earp, Rev. Msgr. Martin Feild, Marie Ford and Thomas Feild. Survived by 14 loving grandchildren. She received the Archdiocesan Medal of Honor in 1990 for her service to the church and her volunteerism on behalf of Our Daily Bread and Little Sisters of the Poor. She was an avid quilter and member of the Village Quilters, Paradise Patchers, and the Embroiderer's Guild.
Relatives and friends may call at the STERLING ASHTON SCHWAB WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, 6950 Dogwood Road; Baltimore, MD 21244, on Friday at 9AM. Interment will immediately follow in Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Virginia's name.
