Alice Kathleen Schmier

Alice married the love of her life and husband of 60 years, Raymond George Schmier, in March 1958 in Raton, New Mexico.

Alice worked for International Medical Corporation (IMC) for 12 years before beginning her career as a Supervisor with Lockheed Martin for over 22 years. She loved camping, fishing, and spending time with her family. Alice had a passion for gardening and loved growing tomatoes, pansies, and red roses. She loved animals and particularly enjoyed elephants, forming an impressive collection of over 500 elephant figurines of various sizes and designs.

Alice was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jim Hamilton, and a step-sister.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ray; three children, Raymond Schmier Jr., Gregory Schmier and partner Christine Murphy, and Timothy Schmier and wife Laura Troy; grandson, Zachary Schmier; step-granddaughter, Emily Grabowky; siblings, Helen (Earl) Daniels, Judy Hamilton, Earl (Donna) Colm, Phillip (Jean) Colm, and Howard Colm; and many other family members and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S Colorado Blvd, Centennial, Colorado 80121. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Alice will be laid to rest, privately, at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, Centennial.
