A chill, cheerful, helpful guy, a cool and creative dude, a gentleman who demonstrated true love and care for those he loved -- his wife, his friends and family, his four-legged friends. Thanks, Barry ~ you and Sally remain some of the best neighbors (and people) I've ever known.

Barry was the definition of the word Gentleman. He was one of the most kind, open and giving persons I have ever had the pleasure to know. I never really got to spend the amount of time with him that I would have liked to due to geography and life's circumstances. It seems that is at least one of the true measures of a persons legacy, is the regret of not having been able to spend more time with them.You will be missed by all of the people you touched.

Heaven now has another Angel.  One to look after all who knew and loved Barry. Especially you Sally, his loving family and dear friends. I will always remember Barry's kindness and smile.  Barry was a giving, kind and gentle soul. I was happy to have known this awesome man. You will be missed.

Barry, It was an honor to know you.  Your gentle disposition and kindness towards our family will be greatly missed. We often think fondly of good times and vacations shared.  Good bye our dear friend, until we see each other again.

Uncle Barry was a great man and will be sorely missed. All of my memories of him are of a kind and generous uncle.

We love you and miss you, brave Barry.  We are diminished.

barry came to western in the late 70s as a rr foreman it was the start of a great friendship that was always rekindled as we  crossed paths in are years of railroading always a great man and good for a laugh helped many folks with his knowledge of the union there for the little guys i will never forget him

For over 30 years, I have had the privilege of calling Barry my brother in law.  
Not only was he tall in stature, but equally big of heart, with a gentle kindness. 
Barry demonstrated his care for others diagnosed with prostate cancer by participating in numerous clinical trials. As he put it, to hopefully make it better for someone else.  Barry was a true cancer warrior.  He fought the most incredible battle and always with the best attitude.  I admired him beyond words.

Thankfully I had a chance in May to spend a little time with him; time I will forever cherish.  I am blessed to have been able to give him one last hug, tell him I loved him, and that he was the bravest person I've ever known.
  
Dear Barry----you will be forever missed.

Uncle Barry had this booming voice that perfectly matched his towering height. But when you got to know him you realized how gentle he was. His charisma was infectious, I'm a better person having known him.

Barry was a kind, sweet, funny guy.  He took joy in life.
He would giggle when he laughed, and he was our brother.
He has always been a joy to be around. We will miss him forever.

Barry was the most fun, kind, beautiful person, and my little brother.  He put up a good fight. I loved him so much and he has left a hole in my heart, that will take time to heal.  Words just can't describe my brother, to know him is to love him.  I will miss him forever.

Uncle Barry you will be truly missed. I will be forever grateful for all the wonderful memories you left me Norman and Your great nieces.  We will always carry you in our hearts and you will never be forgotten. Until we meet again. All of our love, Erin,Norman,Laelia and Scarlett
