Bert could improve, fix, or build anything especially electrical. Bert was especially proud of his Submarine Service Duty during WWII and Korean War. After leaving the Navy, Bert began working for the United States Post Office in 1948,he retired from there in 1989 and immediately went to work for ConocoPhillips where he worked for 14 years. He was a member of The American Legion Post # 0103, Rocky Mountain Gold Diggers where he served as chaplain for many years. He was also a member of The Rocky Mountain Submarine Veterans Group and the American Letter Carriers Association. Bert is survived by his daughter Anita "Lynn" Porter and her husband Arnold "Keith"Porter,Sr and grandson Arnold Keith Porter,Jr, his sister Marie Davis and brother Benny Minor. Also special mention of his closest friends Nathaniel and Patricia Shelton of Littleton,Co.
Bert had many friends, coworkers and relatives who will miss dearly.
