Like many others, I met Betty (and Bob) while working at Fuelco in the 70's. Betty taught me how to play cribbage, how to seek out adventure (thinking of a three-day camping/horseback riding trip in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains), and I do believe she even taught me how to drink!  Most importantly, she showed me how to meet life on its own terms.  She was always a willing listener - a friend I could always count on.  I offer my my prayers and condolences to her friends and family; certainly our loss.

Betty and Bob were a perfect match.  No nonsense on the job, but fun to be around after hours.  Smart, honest and of the highest integrity.  Charles Barrows (Morrison, Co)

I worked at Fuelco with Betty in the 70's. What a joy to be with and what a sense of humor.  We were over her house one time for drinks (before she married Bob) and she offered me some advice and to this day every time I see a or my dirty window I think of her.  Her advice was - you know those windows will always be there - if you have an opportunity to be somewhere or with friends and family - GO!  The windows will always be there to clean later.  Gosh no wonder I never clean my windows. She influenced me.  :)  I would rather be doing something else more fun.  I loved that lady!!  I always looked forward to seeing her at the yearly Fuelco picnics.  She had so many great traveling stories and would make us all laugh til we cried!  What a hoot she was.  She will be greatly missed! My condolences to the family.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

I am so blessed to have had Betty in my life. We shared a ton of laughs as well as a few tears (some were from laughing too hard. When she lived in Aurora, I saw that quite a bit but over the years, we both grew older and the visits were fewer, but they were always, always memorable in some unique way. Betty also taught me the true value of Blackberry Brandy :). I am sorry she is gone from us here, but she will never be gone from our hearts or our memories. Here's to you my friend, I will miss you.

Remembering one of the best laughs I ever knew, I'm sorry to hear they have been silenced here on earth. I trust that distinctive laugh is giving pleasure to someone, somewhere.

It's been many years since I was in touch with Betty, Bob, "Max" or Robert, but I remember you all fondly and send my love. Betty will live on in each of you. Hold tight! XOXO

I met Betty when I started working at Fuelco as an entry-level geologist in 1980.  Betty was fun, smart, and tough in a nice way.  Betty and Karen Robineau were good friends and they added a lot of spice to the office scene.  Bob, Betty, Karen, Ron Herrin, Bob Meddles, and Curt Johnson were  regulars at Cribbage every day at lunch and they had a lot of laughs.  I went to a Broncos game with Karen and Betty the first year Elway played and Karen pelted a guy in front of us in the back of the head with a snowball because he was yelling "We want Morton!"--Jeez, we had some fun.  I bowled with them too--along with Bob and Karen's husband, Joe, in a league at the old Celebrity fun center on Broadway.  Betty sold me her beautiful yellow and white '72 Mustang Grande and I took good care of it and enjoyed it for a long time.  She also sold me a PSCo stock certificate for 8 shares so I could get started in the dividend reinvestment program, which I knew nothing about at the time.  It's a pretty large amount now and my youngest son is going to CSU on it.  I know all of us who worked with Betty or knew her in some way really enjoyed her friendship and will miss her greatly. Condolences to her many friends and especially to Betty and Bob's families.

I worked with Betty at Fuelco back in the 70's.  She was always a lot of fun.  Before she married Bob she lived in Aurora.  She had a bunch of cactus 

plants in her yard and asked me if we wanted any.  We went out there and dug up a bunch of plants for her. She was always very nice to me and she had a great sense of humor.

To all of Betty and Bob's extended family -- Betty was a friend and co-worker for many years starting when I joined Fuelco in 1982. I have many good memories of her. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and I offer my condolences to all of you.
