She was born in March of 1932, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake McWhorter, her parents Gerald and Mary M. Houser and her brother, Gerald R Houser.
She worked in the accounting department of Mountain Bell Telephone Company for many years and retired in 1983.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and was a member of Southern Gables Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include one sister, Shirley Hughes of Conifer, Colorado, two sons, Robert Jackson of Pueblo, Colorado and James Jackson and his wife Fiona of Nashville, Tennessee, one daughter, Laura Jaquess of Golden, Colorado, four grandchildren, Amanda Jackson of Golden, Colorado, Matthew Jaquess of Golden, Colorado and Christopher and Tyler Jackson of Nashville, Tennessee. She was also the proud Great grandmother of Blake Jackson Gillespie, age 4 of Golden Colorado.
