Carmen M Munoz

It is with great sorrow we announce that Carmen Diaz Muñoz passed away peacefully in her Littleton, Colorado home on April 2, 2019 at the age of 87. Carmen was born on July 16, 1931, at her parents' home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the fourth of eight surviving children.

As a child, Carmen was a tomboy and loved to play along with her brothers’ pranks on her sisters. She was also quite skilled at the game of Mumbletypeg, a game she loved to play with the boys at school. Carmen's father would often bribe her to practice and played both the piano and the accordion beautifully.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Carmen is preceded in death by her husband, Raul Muñoz, and survived by her ten children, Gregory Muñoz, Carolyn Muñoz, Edward Muñoz, Celeste Muñoz, Marc Muñoz, Ron Muñoz, Cheri Hodges, Jacqueline Fifield, John Muñoz, and Cathy Muñoz. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and her surviving siblings, Manual Diaz, Edward Diaz, Estella Heaton, Mary Esther Hulse, John Diaz, and Amelia Wolfe.

A funeral service in memory of Carmen Muñoz will be held on April 8, 2019, beginning with a rosary at 9:30 am and funeral mass at 10:30 am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Littleton, Colorado.
