Carol W. Dietz, 93, died July 16, 2022, at home with her family by her side in Georgetown, Colorado. She was born October 4, 1928, in Denver to Steffie (Mohar) and Carl Horblit.
Her father worked for the phone company and moved the family to many small towns in Colorado and eventually settled in Adams City, Colorado, where she met and married her husband, Leonard Dietz. Carol worked and retired from the Adams City Post Office after many years.
Carol was active in the Lutheran Church for most of her adult life. She always enjoyed being with family and friends, playing cards and games. She loved creating bead jewelry with her pals every Wednesday for years.
She is survived by two daughters and one son, Susan Sullivan, Linda McMichael and Leonard Dietz, Jr. (Vicki); one sister and one brother, Joan Sandquist and Harry Horblit; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, and daughter, Judy.
A funeral service for Carol will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mt Zion Lutheran Church, 500 Drake St, Denver, CO 80221. A reception will occur Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 500 Drake St., Denver, CO 80221. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121.
