

Del served in WWII in the Army Air Corps from 1940 - 1945 aboard an A-26 Attack aircraft in the Aleutian Islands and B-24 bombers in Spain. Del graduated from the University of Denver in 1949 with Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity.
Del worked for most of his life as an insurance producer and retired at the age of 87. He was very active in his church and community; he was a Freemason, Emulation Lodge, a 32nd degree Mason, Blue Goose and a Shriner. He was a member of Wellshire Presbyterian Church and served as an usher right up to his passing.
Delbert is survived by son Bryan Jensen and daughter-in-law Linda Jensen, of Gainesville, Florida, 4 grandchildren, Erica Miller, Matthew Jensen, John Jensen and Robert Porter, also 9 great-grandchildren.
A sister Gloria Rader of Idaho, 3 nieces, Marty Biastock, Martha Rader and Rhea-Ann Crow, 4 nephews, Bill Biastock, Karl Biastock, Paul Rader, Richard Culbertson and brother-in-law, Wendal Culbertson.
In his later years, he was informally adopted into the family by Carin Richardson and her 4 children.
He was preceded in death by his sweetheart Marjorie I. Jensen, daughter Karen Porter, granddaughter Robin Porter, sister Ann Biastock and his parents Ole & Dora (Wilson) Jensen.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 10:00 am at Wellshire Presbyterian Church, 2999 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, Colorado 80222. A Military ceremony will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill on South Colorado Blvd in Centennial at 1:30PM following the church memorial and fellowship.
