Doris grew up in Englewood, CO, attending Englewood High School. She married Eugene Still who was from West Virginia and had been stationed at Fort Logan at the end of World War II. They resided in West Virginia for five years before returning to Colorado. Doris enjoyed a career in secretarial work, starting with Gates Rubber Company and eventually secured a position with Martin-Marietta Corporation (Lockheed-Martin) where she spent the rest of her career. She retired after 30 years of service with the company.
Doris loved traveling and lived in West Virginia, Florida, and Colorado over the years. She was dedicated to her work and was known as a kind and generous lady who was always willing to help anyone in need. Later in life, she discovered her natural artistic talent for painting, both watercolors and oils, producing many beautiful canvasses which are now cherished treasures within her family.
She will be greatly missed by her entire family, but her love and generosity will live on in their hearts.
