Edward T. O'Brien Jr. was born June 26, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to Ed Sr. and Florence O'Brien. Ed went to Graland Country Day School, East High School and University of Colorado. Ed served in the Coast Guard and was past president of Lions Club. Ed followed in his father's footsteps as an insurance broker with E. T. O'Brien Agency established in 1932 by Ed Sr. Ed retired as president of E. T. O'Brien Agency in 2014. Ed's favorite things were being with his family, having a good conversation and the Denver Broncos.
Ed is survived by his wife Danielle, his children Ellen (Mike Van Veen) O'Brien, Edward (Paige) T. O'Brien III, Chantal O'Brien and Kevin (Brooke) O'Brien and 7 grandchildren, Patrick, Emma, Ryan, Lily, Teddy, Kenna and Brooklyn. The family wants to give special thanks to John Tenorio, who took special care of Ed in his last year of life.
Services will be held, Saturday, January 6th at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2626 E. 7th Avenue Parkway at 1:00 with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Lion's Club International Foundation or Parkinson's Foundation.
