Emma Doris Flenthrope

Emma Doris Brown Flenthrope was born February 28, 1936 in Vernon, Texas. She was the youngest of eleven children and grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas. Not long after high school, she met her husband Charlie. They had four children and they were both faithful members of the Church of Christ, in Wichita Falls. There, they were surrounded by family and friends. When they moved to Colorado in 1969, they found countless new friends there as well. Here, Doris thrived as a homemaker and over the years, many people were invited to her table for a wonderful meal. She made you feel like family and she loved to make people laugh. When her husband Charlie passed away, she was blessed yet again to meet another strong Christian man named Harold Flenthrope. They were married for many happy years until Harold also passed away. After a long life of love and laughter, Doris herself passed away on April 6, 2025. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Pam and Chris Mason of Aurora, Bruce and Sharon Brown of Colorado Springs, Judy Brown of Westminster, and Charlie Wes and Pamela Jean Brown of Aurora. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Rachel Brown, Brandon Mason, Burton Mason, Serena Brown, Phoebe Brown, and Ryan Brown. These and many others continue to be blessed by the bright life of Emma Doris Brown Flenthrope.
