Irene was born on November 19, 1927, in Warrington, England, to Frank and Ellen Bennett. As a young woman during World War II, she worked in a parachute factory in England, supporting the war effort. During that time, she met Lloyd, an American serviceman stationed there. They shared a love of dancing and quickly fell in love.
At just 18 years old, Irene moved to the United States to begin her new life with Lloyd. Together they built a loving home and raised three sons: Bernard, Ronald, and Geoffrey. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bernard.
Irene enjoyed knitting, lovingly creating blankets and sweaters for her grandchildren.
Irene will be remembered for her strength and her spirit. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
