

Lori was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Paul Hendricks, and survived by three daughters; Janice Stull (Mike), Peggy Ward (Michael), and Marilyn Cotton (Kelby); and three grandchildren, Emily Cotton Woodward (George), Kristian Cotton (Kat), and Alexander Ward (deceased); and three great grandchildren, Ean Cotton, Elaina Woodward, and Castiel Calvert.
She graduated Iva Lorene Ingram from Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado, in 1946 and married Paul Hendricks of Englewood, Colorado. They started their family and resided in north Boulder, and she worked at the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper.
In 1962 they moved to Kentucky where Paul attended seminary, and they served at Mill Creek Christian Church for six years. Lori started college at Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky in 1966 when her oldest daughter started college. They moved back to Colorado in 1968 and served at the First Christian Church in Alamosa. After moving to Denver in 1975, they served at Harvey Park Christian Church for seventeen years until retirement in 1992. Lori worked at JC Penny and the Denver Public Schools. She was also a caring Hospice volunteer for over 20 years.
Lori had a strong faith, and after retiring remained active in and dedicated to the church. She always sang in the choir with her rich alto voice.
Lori loved and was very accomplished at cooking, baking, canning, sewing, and gardening.
She always gave of herself and listened to others with a special affinity for helping teenagers. Her energy, sweet spirit, kindness, and terrific sense of humor will be greatly missed by her three daughters who thought she was “THE BEST MOM” ever!
A celebration service of her life will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at 2 pm at Olinger Funeral on Colorado Boulevard in Centennial, Colorado. Scattering of her ashes will be on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11 am on Mt. Lindo Cemetery in Morrison, Colorado.
