I miss my grandma so much! She was my absolute best friend in the entire world! I cant believe it will be 8 years without her here! She brought so much joy and laughter to the family! Man i wish i could see her face, give her a hug or even just here her voice. She inspires me still to keep going even if its hard. Her laugh was the best! She did so many hard things through out her life even while battling cancer! I will always look foreword to the day i can see her again! That day will be the best day ever! I miss you Boppy! Juli was my very best friend growing up in Sacramento. We grew up laughing and playing and eating all those cookies we learned to bake together, at her house and mine. Being across the street from each other made it so wonderful to share pain and joy and laughter. The night before her family moved away to Colorado, we clung to each other on her front porch for half the night sobbing. I felt like my right arm had been taken off when she moved away.
I will love you forever and forever my precious Juli. Save me a place in heaven, girl. Giggle-fest to be continued when I get there.

I can't not smile when Juli comes to mind.  From the moment we met so many years ago when she was my YW leader, I knew she was going to be a very good friend and example to me throughout my life.  She welcomed everyone that came into her view and I will never forget the never ending supply of Pop Tarts she had for me in the pantry when I'd come to visit.  Juli made sure I had plenty of sugar at her home since my mom wouldn't buy me any!  hah! It was those small, simple things that Juli did for everyone that I will always remember. It may not have seemed like much at the time but she truly cared and did whatever she could to show how much she cared. Most of my favorite childhood memories involve Juli & the Perry Clan and I am forever grateful for all of you. From cruising around in the space mobile mini van to starting dance parties in the middle of the barrios in Ciudad Juarez, there was always an adventure with Juli around. Juli loved life and truly celebrated it. I'm so grateful for all the memories I continued to share with Juli even after moving from CO. I loved being able to be here in NYC when she completed the NYC Marathon.  She was truly an amazing woman...still is an amazing woman and I'm forever changed from having her in my life. Juli, thank you for being a fighter and for staying around long enough to teach us that we can always try a little harder, laugh a little louder, be a little nicer and live every day the best way we can because that's the only way to live. You will be greatly missed but your spirit will never be forgotten. Thanks for inspiring us all...

Doug and Family,
Just want you to know that I have thought about you and Juli many times over the years because my parents would tell me about the exciting and amazing things you and Juli were doing, like climbing mountains and running marathons. I'm sure you barely remember me but I remember you and your beautiful family.  I especially remember watching Juli and Jennifer as a young girl and thinking how beautiful they were and how wonderful their talents were.  Juli was inspiring then but now -- I have never, ever known another person like her.  I am in awe of her will and her strength and her "true grit."  I wish your family peace and contentment in the knowledge that you will be reunited with your beautiful wife and mother again some day.  Until then, I hope you'll find joy in the wonderful memories you created with her.

Doug, I just wanted to let you know what an inspiration of perserverance and celebrating life Juli has been to us over the years.  I want to let you know personally that you were a big influence on me as my scout and young men advisor.  Thank you for your generosity and willingness to serve.  Juli's battle show's that great things can come from tragic situations.  We will miss her so much!

God saw Juli getting tired,

I "just happened" to read this weekend's obituaries today and was very saddened to see the announcement of Juli's death.  I first met her when she brought her daughter to me for alterations on her wedding dress.  I was proud that someone of Julie's high standards and character thought enough of my work to bring subsequent daughters and daughters-in-law to me with their wedding dresses!
Over the years I always looked forward to helping her with her "fitting" problems because it gave me time with her.  In a way, I was able to share in her achievements (altering her clothes for the carrying of the Olympic Torch!)and the joys in her life.  
My sympathies are with her family and friends.  She will be missed in more ways than you can know.

Dear Doug and Family,

Yesterday was such a beautiful funeral for Juli. She was a great example to me.  I loved having her as a young women's leader.  I remember one year on my first day of school, she left a note and a candy bar at my house, just saying "hope your first day of school was great!"  That meant a lot to me.  I want to try and be more like Juli.  From the remarks at her funeral yesterday, and reading through some of these comments, it seems like her life was filled with doing kind things for others.  What a great example.  She has touched so many lives.  

It wasn't until years later, when I was called as a young women's leader, that I realized what a sacrifice Juli had made to have presidency meetings, plan and attend activities, come to girls camp, etc.  I remembered and tried to follow her example to try and be a good young women's leader.  I am grateful for her love and kindness.  

I remember having Juli accompany me (and others) many times as we sang in church for different things.  She was so willing to share her talents.

She has left behind a beautiful legacy.  It was so fun to hear from each of the kids and Doug yesterday.

I'm so excited to think about what great work Juli is engaged in on the other side.

Dear Doug and Family,

Juli is a great inspiration to me; her faith, kindness, and infectious laugh, her diligence and her great warmth. Like so many, I am grateful for the way that I was welcomed into your home and your family by Juli's kindness and thoughtfulness. Her courage and optimism inspire me to do better, her great love of family and the Lord inspire me to make sure that my priorities are in the right place. 

While in the Maplewood (singles) ward, I was always impressed by Juli's capacity to show kindness to all members of the ward, despite thier widely varying backgrounds. Ricky Stone was one of those members- his growing up years had been rough, and he was not always the easiest individual to relate to. Juli alway treated him with absolute sincerity and kindness, despite the difficulties that many had in interacting with him. I hope to emulate this warmth, sincerity and capacity to love in my life as well. 

I am grateful for her shining example and the light that she brought into my life.

Dear Doug and Family,
Wow, what an amazing and inspiring lady. My life has been greatly blessed by the way Doug and Julie have welcomed me into their life many years ago. My heart is so full of wonderful feelings and memories that I'm not sure how to express them. I remember just after Doug and Julie were married and Doug was mowing lawns to put food on the table. Doug was called to be the assistant scout master and I was one of those scouts. Because of that association I was able to paint, pull up carpet, fix things with Doug. At the end of working we would usually end up going by the house and I would love to see how Doug and Julie interacted. Julie's laugh, usually at something Doug had done was contagious. Many times I was asked if I would be willing to watch the kids so that Julie and Doug could go out for a date. I felt as if I was part of the family. She was such a great mom to Shauna, Kristen, Ashley, and Justin. Over the years I was always impressed with the great relationship Julie has with her children. Then after we moved away and heard about the cancer and the struggles Julie was facing, I was amazed at how she faced the callenges. I hope I can face my challenges in life with the courage and energy that Julie showed us all. Julie, thank you for living the life the way you did and giving me such a great example of true class. We will miss you, but know you are in a better place. I pray that we can all live lifes  worthy to be in your presence some day.

We cherish many memories of experiences with the Perry family and the with the Fowles family.  And we love you all.

Juli is a dear friend -- we helped each other's children grow up.  Juli was YW president and advisor with my twins, Heather and Robyn, my oldest children.  I was YW president and advisor with Ashlee, her youngest.  Here are a couple of Juli stories I'll bet none of the Perrys or Fowles know about, because Juli was so good at loving and serving in quiet ways:

Heather was having a very important, intricate, necessary surgery on her face.  Three and a half hours were scheduled for this surgery.   At the hospital, I stayed with Heather until she was taken into surgery, then headed, with much anxiety, to the waiting room.  Much to my surprise,   a cheerful face and comforting hug greeted me when I walked into the room - it was Juli.   She hadn't said anything to me in advance - she just showed up.  It meant so much to me that she had cared enough to be there for my support and for Heather's. 

At age 15-16, Heather and Robyn lost interest in church activity.  But Juli remained a faithful friend.  I think the girls must have used "I don't have anything to wear" as their excuse for not attending church.  One Saturday, she called and announced to them that she'd be coming by at a certain time to pick them up for a shopping trip.  Robyn had other plans, but  Heather was excited about it and went with her.  Juli bought her an outfit and I think a deal was made that she had to come to church in it.  I think she may have attended just once.  We're still working on future church attendance.  Maybe Juli can do more on that from the other side of the veil.  I know she'll do her best.  

Our entire family has been blessed immensely through our association with all of you.  Each one of us has been touched in some way by each one of you.  We love you and you mean so much to us.  You will continue to be in our prayers.  Eternally your friends,

Dear Perry Family,
Thank you for sharing Juli with me and the other YW throughout our most formidable and challenging years. I recall one lesson on temple marriage that Juli taught while she was my Laurel advisor. She gave us each a picture of the Denver Temple and wrote her testimony on the back, followed by the words, "I'll meet you at the door." Juli was indeed at my temple sealing 3 years ago, and that was such a blessing and honor for me. I will love her forever.

You have all been such a wonderful part of my and my family's life.  One of my special memories was our trip to Bar Harbor and our bike ride through Acadia.  As Juli struggled to make the grade up the rolling hills, I watched as Doug placed his hand on the back of her bike seat and added his strength to hers.  As a family that is the way you have lived your lives, adding each others strength to your own.  I know Juli will be there adding more strength than ever before.

I have known Juli for as long as I can remember. Literally. I grew up with Juli and all of you wonderful Perrys, and as I told Juli, she was what I considered, my "second mom".  I have memories from all 4 houses; from Juli doing my hair as a little girl, to homemade pizzas and sugar cookies, family games, and as we got older, just hanging out and chatting on the waterbed.  Juli always made me feel special and loved, as she did with everyone. She truly cared about others.  Anyone who knows Juli knows that she was ALWAYS fun to be around.  Her smile and laugh define her.  I am grateful for Juli's presence in my life, and for the entire Perry family.  You are all an example of true courage, love, and endurance.  My prayers and thoughts are with you as they have been for many years.  I am so glad I got to give her one last hug.  She was a special lady, and a good friend.

I feel most honored because  I got to have Juli for a sister!  We may have been sisters by chance but we were friends by choice!  She taught me so many lessons.  I will miss our  wonderful phone conversations and the great moments we got to capture together!  I  look forward to the day we can laugh together again!  Your influence on me and my families life will remain in our hearts forever!  I love you my dear sweet sister!!!!    You are free from any pain now!!!!

"Life is a stage and we all must play a part."  Juli had a part to play and she played it so very well.  Mother, companion, daughter, sister, friend--the list goes on.  For 32 years, Juli has been a great friend to the Fullmers.  Whenever Juli would call Cathy and I answered, it was "Hello Big Daddy,", "Hello Big Mama".  "Cathy, it's your sidekick".  Or, another nickname, "it's Juli Pepperoni".  Juli will always be known as upbeat, positive Juli no matter what the situation.  We love you Juli!

We love you all and will miss seeing, being around, praying for, running for, being with, and watching over Juli.  Now she is watching over all of you, her family and all of us who are her friends.  Her calling and election is made sure.  She is an elect lady and has all the knowledge she needs to continue in the after life.  We will be there for all of you, Doug,  Shauna and family, Kristen and family, Ashley and family, and Justin and family, Deon and Lenice, Greg, Jennifer, and Eric. We're friends of Shauna & Andy's & although we met Juli only a few times, I feel I 'knew' her.  What a generous spirit she is.  Even during her own health battle she thought of others & found ways to make them feel special.  While I was in hospital a while back I received a package from Juli--a warm, soft animal-print blanket, fuzzy socks & a cap that read "Life Is Good".  Life IS good because of people like Juli.  My family fights over the blanket--it is SO soft!  :)  

I will always cherish them...& her kindness.

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for the entire Perry clan that stems back to the days I used to babysit for you. What a great family!!! Dear Doug and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you.  I wanted to share some of my memories of Juli.  Juli and I had great fun in high school. I first met her our freshman year. Her family had recently moved from California.  One of my favorite memories of Juli was her reaction the first time it snowed.  She was so excited and was playing in the snow like a little kid.  I think we even ditched class to play in the snow.  Her giggle and bright smile always made her fun to be with.  I have enjoyed watching your family grow over the years.  I see a little of Juli every time I look at Kristin caring for her children.  John and I love your family and know that the Lord will be with you during this difficult time.

For me, and I suspect many others, Juli personifies dignity and grace in the face of life's challenges.  When I encountered an unexpected hiccup in my own health, Juli's example was an inspiration to me, for which I will always be grateful.  She was, and still is, a great role model.  It is an honor to have known her.

I was remembering the other day two years ago in June, I participated in the Tune-up Triathlon with Juli and Kristen.  Kristen told me that Juli had been experiencing some pain related to her cancer.  We cheered Juli on as she ran the last leg of the race.  Juli showed off her beautiful smile.  Her family, including her mom and dad, were there giving her encouragement.  What determination Juli had as she finished.  And that I'm sure complemented her personal life, her faith in Jesus Christ, and her love for her family.

     Someone once shared these thoughts with us and we want to share them with you. We hope it will bring comfort and peace to the sweet Perry family. (1) She still lives. (2) She is still beautiful. As if it isn't enough to be known by everyone whose life she touched as a loving, kind, compassionate woman who showed unimaginable courage in the face of terrible adversity, I would like to pay special tribute to Juli as an incredible musician, pianist and lover of music. Last year, Heath and I took the family to participate in the Race for the Cure walk for Juli. This was our first time doing anything like this and it was an amazing experience. Juli is a fighter and we will always remember her courage and example. We feel blessed to have known her and will treasure that experience. I remember crossing the finish area with everyone and while there were tears shed, there was more joy and an underlying feeling of hope and love radiating through her friends and family. Juli's cancer never defined her; rather, she defined it through her numerous triumphs over her diagnosis.  She lived more fully than anyone I have ever known.  

Her body may have weakened, but her spirit understood with perfection the seasons of her life.

My Dear Aunt Juli has always been a great example to me. I loved spending time with her and her family at all of our family reunions! Even though we were states apart I always felt close to her and loved her very much! We are sorry we won't be able to attend the memorial services but our thoughts and prayers are with you always.

When I think of Juli, the first thing I see in my head is her bright smile and the first thing I hear in my head is her wonderful laugh. She will always be a force for good in my life. My love and sympathy are with you.

I woke up Wednesday morning with an "inspiration" to put on some walking shoes and get moving.  I went to my closet to search for a T-shirt to get me on the road.  In looking through the stack I came across a smiling face with angel wings - how perfect, I thought!  In so many ways Juli has, and will always, inspire each of us to live life to the fullest! One Sunday Juli brought in a picture of Christ into Relief Society.  I commented on how much I love that picture.  Within the week Juli presented me with a copy of that picture and it hangs in my house, where I view it every day.  Her act of kindness and sincere love will always be remembered with that picture along with the wonderful memories of dinners at the Perry's home. I'll see you on the other side, Juli.  Loving thoughts...

What a blessing your dear Juli has been in my life.  She is not only one of my courageous heroines, but was also such a bright light in my Gary's life as well. I know he was amongst the masses cheering her on at the finish line. Bless you all.
