"Kathy" was born to A. Dale and Phyllis (Marvel) Lewallen August 20, 1944, at Memorial Hospital of Natrona County in Casper, Wyoming.
Kathy studied at St. Anthony Catholic School, Natrona County High School (graduated 1962), and Casper College.
She married Donald W. McWilliams June 8, 1964, in Casper, moving to Denver to raise three boys (widowed 1983). She married Donald Hauf in March 1990 in Elk City, Oklahoma (separated 2001).
She was a lifelong Catholic, worshipping with her family at the Church of Saint Anthony in Casper and later at Notre Dame Catholic Parish in Denver.
Kathy served on the Sabin Elementary School P.T.A. in the 1970s where she later worked as a clerk, 'nurse' and secretary. Kathy also worked as a librarian for the Denver Public Library.
She moved to Elk City, Oklahoma and later resided in Vernal, Utah. She moved back home to Casper in 1996 and then to Arvada in 2019.
Perhaps her greatest accomplishment was helping to raise her six younger brothers and her three sons with unending love, empathy and generosity. Kathy loved babies and children. Along with being very thoughtful and considerate, she was known to give the "best hugs ever in the world".
She enjoyed many activities including bowling, piano, horseshoes, crafts, crocheting, gardening, canning, painting, and reading. She loved playing many games with her family including Bridge, Spades, Double Solitaire, Cribbage, Pinochle, Blitz, Pit, Yahtzee, Uno, and more. She never smoked or imbibed, and rarely uttered an off-color word. Although she would never hurt an animal, she was a virtual deadeye with a pellet rifle.
Kathleen is survived by her sons JD (wife Lisa, son Miles, Arvada, CO), David (Reno, NV), and Ron McWilliams (Denver). Other survivors include her six younger brothers Bob (Akemi) of Centennial, CO; Mike (Leslyn), Tom (Mary), and Greg (Renie) of Casper; Ron (Tam) of Vancouver, WA and Steve of Casper. She is also survived by her second husband Donald A. Hauf of Casper, numerous nieces & nephews, several grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and her friend Mary Lee Bell, also of Casper.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald McWilliams and her Parents A. Dale and Phyllis.
In Kathleen's honor, please remember to be kind and generous to people and to hug one another.
