Kathleen Marie Price Pulsipher-Stebbins, a devoted wife, mother, and lifelong nurturer, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at the age of 74. Born in Chicago on October 20, 1950, to Jack Wilford Price and Beatrice Helen Meder Price, Kathleen's early years were shaped by the move to Salt Lake City when she was just five years old.
Kathleen attended Lutheran Elementary School and graduated from high school in 1968. She continued her education at Steven Henager College, earning her Executive Secretarial degree, which she put to good use in a professional career shortly after graduation.
Her life took a new and unforgettable turn when she met Eric Pulsipher during a visit to her father’s workplace. They quickly formed a deep connection, and on their third date, Eric proposed. This bold gesture shocked Kathleen’s parents, who requested that she wait six months before giving her answer. She honored their wishes, and on September 12, 1975, Kathleen and Eric married. Together, they built a loving, faith-centered life, creating a family that would become the heart of Kathleen’s world.
Kathleen’s greatest joy was her family, especially her children. She and Eric fostered 13 children over the years, filling their home with love and laughter. Kathleen’s heart expanded even further as she and Eric adopted Karen, a 4-year-old from Wartorn, El Salvador; Eric Jr., at just three weeks old; and biological siblings Kenyle and Renee.
Beyond her role as a mother, Kathleen was also a passionate Mary Kay Cosmetic Consultant. She also loved expressing her creativity through Tri-Chem painting and sewing the square-dancing costumes that accompanied her and Eric's many travels to dance competitions. In the mid-1990s, the couple relocated to Aurora, Colorado, for a job opportunity, where they continued to build a beautiful life together.
In December 2007, tragedy struck when Eric passed away suddenly from a heart attack. Despite this immense loss, Kathleen continued to move forward with grace and resilience. With the support of her church family, she found work at 3 Bears Learning Center as a teacher, ultimately advancing to the position of Executive Office Manager while continuing her education.
In 2011, after trying her hand at online dating and kissing a few frogs along the way, Kathleen met Jesse Stebbins. Their connection was instant. On November 16, 2013, they were married in a charming, unique “Little House on the Prairie” wedding. Kathleen introduced Jesse to the childlike wonder of “Lucky O’Lucky the Leprechaun” and “Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus,” creating joyful memories by taking part in annual visits to local Golden Corral restaurants for photos with the holiday duo.
Kathleen used her artistic talents to create beautiful cards and journals. When diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she shared her love of journaling by making personalized journals for others to document their own stories.
Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Eric Sr., and her brother Jack. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jesse; her children, Karen, Eric Jr., Kenyle, Renee, her grandson Tripp, her siblings Helen and James and many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen’s life was a testament to love, faith, and the deep bonds of family. She will be remembered for her unwavering strength and her nurturing spirit that brightened the lives of everyone around her.
