Keith Paul Barbier

Keith Paul Barbier, 62, of Chesapeake, VA passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born on January 19, 1955 in Denver, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlene (Mesch) and Albert Barbier. His surviving siblings include Fae, Bill, Gayle and Caycie. He is also survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sher (McVay) and their three sons and daughter-in-laws, Jay (Jen), Ryan (Kari) and Luke (Carrie). He has 8 grandchildren: Jackson, Isabelle, Lilly, Brooklyn, Riley, Phoenix, Nora and Beckett.

Keith grew up in Englewood, CO and was “Head Boy” at Flood Junior High School. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1973. Keith and Sher fell in love and got married in the summer of 1976 and started a family. He began his career as a driver for UPS and his hard work and determination led to several promotions and transfers around the country. After 31 dedicated years, Keith retired with his wife in Virginia. This allowed him to enjoy his passion for golf and take trips with family and friends.

Keith was surrounded by love and family at the end. His family takes comfort in knowing they will see him again in Heaven. His support, wisdom, love and laughter will be missed.

A private memorial service for family and friends is scheduled for Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10:00am at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cherry Hills Village, Colorado with reception to follow. Keith’s final resting place will be at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery.
