Kenneth Fred Waechter, 91, of Lakewood, Colorado died at home after a short illness. Born in Webster County, Nebraska, he spent his early years working on the family farm. After graduating from high school, he attended an electrical trade school in Milford, Nebraska. He married Eloise Torske on September 3, 1950 and moved his family to Colorado in 1952. A member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union (IBEW Local 68), he worked as an electrician helping to light the city for many years before retiring. He was also very active in the Englewood Auxiliary Police for 20 years, working his way up to captain. He greatly enjoyed being with his family and teasing his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing with his wife and traveling around the country.
Ken is survived by his wife Eloise of 69 years, daughters Pam, Debbie, Karen, Diane, Jill, Jody, and Judy, 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
