

Kimmie Rae (Boehler) Ephland, passed away at home in Highlands Ranch, CO from natural causes at 57 years of age. Kimmie was born in Denver, CO the first of two children of Kathleen Gail (Best) and Jerry Dean Boehler. She grew up in Lakewood CO where she graduated from Bear Creek high school in 1982. She is survived by her only sibling, Tim Boehler and his two daughters Nicole and Ashley Boehler of Phoenix, AZ. Kimmie was preceded in death by her parents and her only beloved child, Cory Charles Ephland.
After graduating from high school, Kimmie went to work for the U.S. Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service, later renamed the Office of Natural Resources Revenue as a Minerals Revenue Specialist. Kimmie worked there for 37 years where she retired in May 2021. There was a three-year break in service while Kimmie recovered from cancer treatment. Independent and strong, Kim was a survivor. She went on to build an amazing life for herself and her son and, accomplished so many things independently.
One of Kimmie’s favorite places was Glenwood Springs, CO where she loved to soak and relax with family and friends at the hot springs pool and spa. Kimmie was a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, friend, and loved by everyone she touched. She will be deeply missed in so many ways.
Kimmie was an avid animal lover especially for cats. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local humane shelter or animal refuge and sent in memory of Kimmie Rae Ephland.
