Lucille was such a lovely woman, admired by all who knew her. One of the first things that come to mind was her love for the Lord and then her big smile. She always had a smile for everyone.  We will miss you sweet Lucille 💜

Nyleen and I had occasion to visit Lucille a couple of years ago.  During part of the conversation Lucille was talking about how hard it was for her to get around and the common aches and pains she had.  Then she stopped, took a breath and said, "Oh, to be 90 again!"
Back when she was around 90, we took her on a drive that ended up going over the Trail Ridge road.   On the West side there is a big hair-pin turn that has a large flat area where cars can be parked and people can walk up the steeply banked turn to view the Medicine Bow Mountains to the North.  I said I wanted to take a picture and would be right back.  Lucille beat me out of the car and ran, uphill, at almost 11,000ft, across the road, dodging cars.
The other thing I remember about that drive was how interest she was in everything--what type of rocks were these?  what types of flowers?  Do we see any marmots or chipmunks?  What about the birds?   I have to think that her alert mind had a lot to do with her longevity.--Charles Barrows

I worked with Lou at Van Schaack & Company for many years. She worked in Loan Servicing as the Hazard Insurance Customer Service Clerk. I met her when I started with Van Schaack in 1976 as the Secretary, just out of high school.  We worked together for many years. Lou helped me grow up in the business world. I have many fond memories. Lou took great pride in her work and was always a good friend. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Lucille, you were the best, most loving mother in law a gal could have.  We had so much fun together over the years and we shared quite a few sorrows, also.  You are missed!

Grammy was a teacher that impacted the lives of children.  No she was not a public school teacher that was paid to teach, she was a Sunday school teacher who volunteered to teach. It was her calling from God to open young minds about our Lord Jesus Christ. Rest In Peace.
