

Maxine entered life in the small community of Wharton County, Texas as the only daughter born to Reverend. Levy V. Scott and Coral Lee Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Max Saddler.
Maxine is survived by her son, Reginald Saddler, two grandsons, Darian and Xavier Saddler, brothers Faurice(Bobbie) and Levy(Trudy)Scott. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Maxine also leaves behind Diane Johnson, Norma Wick and Pamela Swanson, long time friends who provided loving comfort to her in her days at Jewell Care Center.
Maxine attended St. Phillips Junior College and then Prairie View A&M University where she earned her Bachelors Degree. She followed with her Masters Degree at Texas Southern University. She was the first person in her family to attend college.
Maxine's first teaching experience was in a one room school house in Bonus,Texas. She and her husband moved to Denver where she spent her longest tenure at Samuels Elementary School in the Denver Public Schools teaching 4th grade science. Maxine received a well deserved award as DPS Teacher of the Year in 1990. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority.
Maxine and her husband belonged to South Denver Church of God.
A Memorial Service will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, Saturday, May 16th at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Maxine's name to The Alzheimer's Association.
