Trish Hartmann passed away on September 25, 2013, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Trish and Don Hartmann were married 44 years and had four children: Vint, Jed, Ryan and Janae. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Wyatt, Hunter, Lauren and Max, plus her son-in-law, Bill (Janae’s husband).
Trish was born in Denver and graduated from Englewood High School in 1966. She was the fourth child of George and Alyce Rogers and is survived by two brothers, David Lynn and Delton, plus her sister, Katrinia (Trina) Rogers. She attended Mesa Community College in Grand Junction and Colorado State University in Fort Collins. In July of 1968 she enrolled in flight attendant school with United Airlines in Chicago.
Trish was a flight attendant for United when she met Don in Chicago 45 years ago. They were married a year later, in August 1969. After raising her four children, she resumed her flying career and was a flight attendant for American Airlines since August 2000. She was actively involved in Sharing & Caring Ministries, which serves the needy in the inner city of Denver. She was also a member of Clipped Wings, a society of former United Airlines flight attendants.
A member of Cherry Hills Community Church for 30+ years, Trish loved the 91st Psalm and prayed it fervently for those she loved and cared about. She loved to travel and she and Don visited 18 countries together throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, North Africa and the Caribbean. More than anything, Trish loved the high country of Colorado, where she loved to ski, go camping and boating on Lake Dillon with her family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch at 11:00AM on Friday, October 4.
