Paul A. Silli

Paul Anthony Silli of Highlands Ranch, Colorado passed in peace on April 30 at the age of 48. Beloved son of Bruno and Sherri (Thomas) Silli; loving brother of Sherri Anne Barrett and Michael (wife Terri) Silli; loving and fun uncle to Errol Barrett; Kevin(wife Miruna, and her son Fady) Silli; Lauren and Brooke Silli.

He graduated from the University of Florida with honors; achieved an additional degree in teaching at Florida Atlantic University; received a masters degree in Technology from the University of Colorado.

He was also a Nationally Board Certified teacher devoted to his profession. He taught for nine years at Christa McAuliffe Middle School in West Palm Beach, FL sponsoring many events and fund raisers. He last taught at the Right of Passage Charter School in Littleton, CO until March 2015 after which he was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma Multiple malignant brain tumor in April 2015. He fought this illness for over a year with courage and grace.

Paul was always the life of the party. He had a way of bringing levity to almost every situation. He had a strong personality and was a natural born leader conducting himself as a teacher in both his personal and professional life. He enjoyed the outdoors as a dedicated fisherman, camper, rafter and hiker. He was a devout catholic and attended church frequently.

He will be missed by all his family, friends and students. He was a loving, caring and generous son, brother, uncle and friend.

May you rest in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, May 6, 2016 at St Mark's Catholic Church, 9905 Foothills Canyon Blvd, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129. A rosary will be held 30 minutes prior, from 9:30-10:00, at the church.
