Raymond Kent Nabb

25 diciembre, 1936 – 26 julio, 2019
Obituario de Raymond Kent Nabb
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery - Chapel Hill

Ray Nabb, the man with a Midas touch, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on July 26th. He began his beautiful life to nomadic parents, George and Agnes Nabb on Christmas Day 1936. While attending high school Ray decided to join the military, and served honorably with the United States Air Force in the 50's. He met and married one, Barbara Lee, and they were together until Barbara passed in 2017.

Ray was a gentle understanding husband, who never faltered during hard times. He was giving and forgiving, turning to God in times of need. He liked the idea of being at peace. Ray would go on to have children with Barbara, and he was the strong foundation for his children, always available when he was needed, and used a teaching approach instead of reproach. He was a father figure to his grandsons too, providing abundant love and encouraging growth. It wasn't just his family he was willing to teach either, if he knew someone needed help with something he knew, he would not only help, but teach, whether it be gardening, welding, working on cars, or general household maintenance.

Ray was quiet, always observing, and because of that trait he was always able to master any subject quickly. But one couldn't be too quiet, and he would often crack and unexpected joke, or clever quip that would have laughter abound. Fisherman and hunter extraordinaire, he had stories that would make you laugh, or a story about the natural setting that would take your breathe away. He loved smoking fish and making rhubarb jelly, often having some on hand to hand out as a gift. He took care of his well being while being in nature, as well as, any one he was with. He was active, and liked to spend time in his majestic garden, or fixing things around the house, or tinkering in the garage, or do something productive with a car.

Ray's family deeply misses him, but he will be fondly remembered.

Ray will be laid to rest in Colorado, later.
