Ricky was a very dear friend of our family'.  We spent a lot holidays and have a lot of fond memories of our family's spending time together.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the rest of his family.

Rick was my coffee buddy before he retired at FHWA, I looked forward to our morning chats about his family tree research, dog sitting and home improvements.  He was so kind and always had a tip to share.  He will be missed. It was a honor to be his friend.  I wish his family peace and healing.

I was saddened to learn of Rick's passing, especially since he did not get to really spend the time he deserved in retirement. We worked together for about 15 years and Rick was a great employee.  Always willing to help with a problem and even willing to completely change jobs as the organization changed.

I met Rich years ago when I worked for CDOT and Rick was my counterpart at FHWA. Well mannered and calm, he was a joy to interact with. He will be greatly missed.

Paul and I have never met you, Richard, but Rindi has told us about you and when she does, she showed love in her eyes and heart. We are sorry for your loss, Rindi and Bonnie. Richard will live forever in your hearts.

What tough news for this week of memorial to hear of Rick's passing. It was an honor to work with him while at BLM in Rawlins. Rick was the best, he made a difference; also knew all of the trivia, and didn't hesitate to crack a joke.  Rick's warmth attracted  everyone to his friendliness.  Such fond memories, as we solved the world's problems, enjoyed BBQs, or our infamous Federal furlough retreat to Yellowstone after the tourist season - Rick kept us grounded, and is greatly missed - rest in peace, and thank you for touching us, regards to Bonnie, Rindi, and his beautiful extended family and friends. I knew and had the privilege of working with Rick for many years at the Federal Highway Administration. Rick was indeed one of the kindest of gentlemen and fellow colleague I have ever worked with.  Rick was always ready and willing to help using his expertise, especially in computer issues.  Rick will be missed greatly.  Until we meet again dear friend.

Rick was one of the kindest men I have ever met, but had the best sense of humor.  His heart was golden and he would help anyone who needed it.  He will be missed.

Rick was a soft spoken man who chose his words wisely.  I enjoyed going to lunch or a ballgame with Rick and learning about his family.  He always had some insight to share or words of wisdom for me.  Let perpetual light shine upon him.

Oh Bonnie and Rindi, we are so sorry for your loss.  The last time I saw you all was at Uncle Lawrence services at St Ann's, Rick was standing outside upset at his phone because it was not getting service up here, so I handed my cell phone to him and said here, use mine, and walked inside.  He returned my phone when he was done, but truly never had any one offer a phone to use before.  I'm not even sure if he recognized me, or remembered who I was, but he was Family, because I just don't hand my phone for just anyone to use.  Hope all goes as planned, and know we are sending our Prayers.  Take care cuz.
