

Robert Frederick Moats, born on November 22, 1948, in Denver, Colorado, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Lakewood, Colorado. A true jack of all trades, Robert embraced life with a sense of humor and a passion for adventure. He was an avid collector of paper money, coins, and stamps, finding joy in the stories each piece held.
Robert was a classic rock enthusiast, filling his days with the sounds of his favorite bands, and enjoyed watching shows like "Homeland." A sports fan at heart, he particularly loved football.
Among his many adventures, one of the most memorable was wearing a tuxedo on a balloon safari over Kenya, a testament to his fun-loving spirit. Robert traveled around the world three times, creating lasting memories along the way and fostering a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. He held a special place in his heart for Hawaii, which he considered his favorite place in the world.
He is survived by his daughter Breeze Valdez (Gilbert); his 8 grandchildren, Brandon (Raili), Zachery (Anna), Jerimiah (David),Cody (Janeil), Allison, Caleb, Sadie, and Noah; his 11 great grandchildren,
Daya, Raina, Harleen, Scarlett, Nova, Quinn, Killian, Jennifer, Ryder, Gwendolynn, and Finnigan; his brother-in-law, Ronald Bootcheck; his nephews, Brian (Lisa), Michael (Carrie), Tim (Shamara); as well as his great nieces and nephews, Eli, Jackson, Jillian, Chenoa.
He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Moats; his mother, Elna Moats (Salzman); and his sister, Marilynne Bootcheck.
