Robert Bob Louis Stevenson

Robert Louis Stevenson passed away on January 16, 2015 at the age of 80. He was born in Alba, Oklahoma to Martin and Myrtle Mildred (nee Spicer) Stevenson. He later moved to Colorado where he met his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Rosalie Kaufman. They raised three beautiful children; Troy Martin, Shannon Louis and Tina Marie, who passed away at the age of 30 from breast cancer. Bob and Mary also adopted four grandchildren on June 7, 1996; Tarah, Brandy, Christine, Luke and Sean Alexander.

He is also survived by his younger brother Gary and his wife Judy, and their children Sherry and Brad.

Bob was a loving father and grandfather. He wanted to take care of everyone else before his own needs. He was a hard-working man who provided the best for his family, working 6 days a weeks as a computer programmer for IBM in Boulder. Bob was always cracking jokes and having a great time with everyone.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was everyone’s rock, foundation; their everything.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary.

Mr. Stevenson will be laid to rest on Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery.
