Shane was born on October 12, 1972 to Sherry and Daniel Steckel in Mesa, Arizona. Growing up, Shane was very not only outgoing and energetic, but very protective of his family as well. He grew into an incredible man who knew no stranger. His bright eyes, big smile, prankster attitude and loving heart made him extremely likeable and able to make anyone laugh. He was an avid fan of ASU, the Denver Broncos and the Arizona Cardinals. He passed away on September 11, 2021 and the world became a bit dimmer. He will be dearly missed by his children, Logan and Clare; his parents, Dan and Sherry; his sister, Jessica (Casey) Heaton and children, Coby and Raylee; his brother, John (Becky) and children, Nolan and Parker; his fiancé, Melissa Smith and his stepchildren, Jaden and Morgen Smith; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In celebration of Shane's love for the outdoors, an outdoor service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 8am at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary in Centennial, CO. Following the services, Shane will be laid to rest at Eaton Cemetery, in Eaton, CO at 11:30. A reception will be held at the home of John Steckel following graveside services at 14471 Bulrush Dr. Greeley, CO 80631
